Welcome at the webspace of  the wereldDANSfestivalEDEGEM 1975 - 2012.  Every year the Edegems Volkskunstkomitee vzw organizes the wereldDANSfestivalEDEGEM, which attracts about 6000 visitors. We use three locations: The municipal sports centre  Den Willecom for our evening performances, the festival village for the performances in open air in the afternoon and the ‘Beethoven Auditorium’, theatre of Hotel Ter Elst for our gala performance. Thanks to our 80 hostfamilies and 120 co workers, we can organize, year after year, a festival of joy and friendship.  We invite groups from all over the world to present their autentic dance, songs and music. At this moment we are preparing the 37th wereldDANSfestivalEDEGEM, running from 8 until 15 of august 2012.
